dc.description.abstractThis paper describe the methodology and the results of the safety analysis of the Nuclear Power Plant structures under impact of the extreme climatic loads. In the case of the Nuclear Power Plant structures, the design criteria are stronger. The requirements of the international agency IAEA and NRC standards are based on the probability of mean return period equal to one per 104 years. The fragility curve of the extreme wind was determined on the base of the nonlinear probability analysis of the steel hale frame considering material and geometric nonlinearity using ANSYS software. The failure mode of the NPP structures is expressed by High Confidence of Load Probability of Failure (HCLPF).cs
